This Advertising Policy (the “Policy”) governs Sponsored Advertisements displayed on the 4walls Service operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“4walls”, “we”, “us”). It applies to all Advertisers and forms part of the Terms of Service.
In this Policy: “Advertiser” means a business or person that has agreed with us to display a Sponsored Advertisement; “Creative” means the text, image, link and other content of a Sponsored Advertisement; “Placement” means a position on the Service in which Sponsored Advertisements may appear (including within the Explore feed, on Listing pages, in the Watching area, and any site-wide “powered by” sponsor slot). Other capitalised terms have the meanings in the Terms of Service.
Only a business related to housing. Sponsored Advertisements must relate to housing and home-related goods or services. Eligible categories include, by way of example: removals and moving services; furniture and appliances; home furnishings; cleaning and maintenance; home and contents insurance; home loans and housing finance; utilities and internet installation; and similar categories approved by us.
The categories the site accepts are:
Anything else is turned away. The ad form asks for one of these, and the site rejects an ad with no category or a category it does not know.
We may approve, reject or categorise any proposed Creative at our sole discretion.
We will not accept Sponsored Advertisements that:
Every ad is marked Sponsored. That includes the feed (Explore), the listing page, Watching, and the site-wide sponsor beside the live count. An ad is not a listing, and it is visually distinguishable from Listings.
An ad promotes the business. A property agency advertises the agency. It does not post one apartment and dress it up as a listing.
Be plain and true. Do not make a claim that is not true.
A home-loan or other finance ad must name the bank or lender. Do not state an interest rate, a fee, or an approval in a misleading way, and do not say that everyone is approved.
Where more than one eligible Sponsored Advertisement is active for a placement, one is chosen at random, each equally likely. The site-wide sponsor is the one set for the whole site, not chosen per person. Any site-wide sponsor slot displays the same sponsor to all Users.
4walls does not target ads. Sponsored Advertisements are not selected on the basis of any User's profile, searches, browsing history, saved Listings, location or other personal data. It does not pick an ad from who you are, what you searched, or where you are.
There is no outside ad network and no ad cookie. We do not use any third-party advertising network or exchange.
4walls does not give advertisers your email or your account. We do not provide Advertisers with Users' email addresses, Account data or any other personal data. Outbound links to Advertiser sites are not tagged with User identifiers.
We may provide Advertisers with aggregate, non-identifying performance statistics, such as total impressions and clicks, derived from our first-party analytics.
Tapping an ad opens that business's own website in a new tab. 4walls does not add your email to the link. The other site then sees your visit the way any website would. The Advertiser's website and its own privacy practices apply.
Payment is upfront: you pay the person who runs 4walls before the ad is published. Sponsored Advertisements are arranged directly with us. Payment is made offline by agreed means (for example, bank transfer). 4walls does not take card or bank payments on this website.
Pricing and duration are as agreed in writing between us and the Advertiser [and as set out in any published rate card — confirm]. Unless otherwise agreed, we do not guarantee any minimum number of impressions, clicks or outcomes.
The Advertiser warrants that it is entitled to use all Creative supplied, that the Creative complies with this Policy and applicable law, and that it will indemnify us against claims arising from its Creative or its goods or services.
4walls can refuse an ad, pause it, or remove it at any time. We may do so where we reasonably consider it breaches this Policy or receives substantiated User reports. The people who run 4walls do that from the admin ads page. Ads can also be switched off for the whole site. [Refund terms — confirm.]
On the ad, tap Report this ad and choose a reason: not about housing, it looks like a listing, the claims look misleading, or something else. 4walls stores the ad, the reason and the day, so the people who run the site can read it under Admin, Ads. It does not store your IP address or your email with that report. Reports are kept for 90 days. We review reports and may remove advertisements as described in Section 7.
The display of a Sponsored Advertisement does not constitute an endorsement or warranty by us of the Advertiser or its goods or services. Read more in the Privacy Policy.
